Although it is open all week, the market comes alive on Sundays when many indigenous artisans from the surrounding area bring their handicrafts. Getting to El Valle de Antón From Panama City, take a taxi to the Albrook Bus Terminal. Tickets to El Valle de Antón cost $3.50 USD one-way per person. Visitors must pay an exit fee of an American nickel before boarding the buses. Cozy, air-conditioned minibuses feature DVD players, which usually play salsa music videos to get travelers through the two-hour drive. El Valle HotelsWhen in El Valle, travelers will have no problem finding lodging that ranges from high end to budget. A good mid-range option is the Anton Valley Hotel.
